The following relates the story of Lexi and the Queen of the Universe Pageant!
I came to the Oxwood on a Wednesday night to play in the pool tournament.
I met up with Lexi. She remembered me from a year and a half ago!! (see first outing in 2013) Karina was there and they were looking for sponsers to the "Queen of the Universe" pageant. Lexi needed a sponser, so I said I would do it!!
In the pageant there were to be three competitions, The National Costume Competition, The Swim Wear Competition and the Evening Gown Competition. Lexi didn't have the right outfits so the next day we went to the mall to procure same. We went to party city to get her "Norway Costume", and to a store to buy a fancy swim suit. We still needed a gown. So off to another mall! Caught a little lunch, and then found a really neat gown. Wanda and Lexi at lunch and in the dressing room trying on the gown.
That evening we went back to the Oxwood to meet up with Karina and give her the entrance fee and photos. Unfortunately, our ad didn't make it into the brochure.
Karina was the organizer, producer and director of the pageant held at Circus Disco.

The Evening Gown Competition. Some of the gowns were designed and made by the girls themselves. They were beautiful - imagine the time and effort put in to produce these outstanding gowns.

Lexi and I didn't have a chance to see each other at the pageant itself, so we got together at the Oxwood a week or so later to talk about it. Considering the short time we had to prepare, I think we did a pretty good job!
