Wanda in Manchester

I had a great time in Manchester, UK thanks to Ina, She put me in contact Jenny-Anne Bishop of TransForum Manchester. Her Transgender discussion group meets once a month on Saturday and, as luck would have it, it was on my first Saturday in Manchester. Of course, I attended. They showed a movie on transgendered children followed by an interesting discussion. This was prophetic as later on in the year I was to attend a Christmas party that was held for two transgendered children. Jenny-Anne told me about the Metropolitan Community Church (MCC) Manchester and Mary of Manchester Concord. The following chronicles my adventures in Manchester.

While in Manchester I stayed at the Didsbury House, a contemporary Victorian Villa that is a statement in individual design, bringing influences from around the world to the fashionable suburb of Didsbury.

After the Saturday Transforum Manchester meeting we went to an Indian restaurant on Curry Mile.

On the following Sunday and every Sunday thereafter I went to church at MCC Manchester. Check it out by clicking on the following picture.

Manchester Concord is a Transgender Social Group that meets every Wednesday evening in the upstairs bar of the Rembrandt Hotel in Manchester. I had the good fortune to become a member and attend a few of the meetings. Mary maintains a blog that is an occasional diary of wednesday evenings activities. Check out some of the October and November meetings.
