Visiting Dayton

I do get to travel to a lot of exotic places. Unfortunately, there is rarely an opportunity to get dressed and go out. So when I had to go to Dayton, Ohio (certainly not exotic) I was at least rewarded with the chance to go out. I tried to hook up with some locals, but absolutely no luck. I did get some advice however. First was to stay at the Crown Plaza hotel. It must be a good hotel because it was totally booked up. Apparently there were a lot of weddings in town. Instead, I stayed at the Doubletree Downtown Dayton. Well, can't win them all... They had only Valet parking. Ugh... I didn't want to have some twerp get my car for me while I was dressed. Fortunately, since it was a weekend, there was plenty of parking on the street. (Besides it saved me the parking charge). So I parked in front of the Hotel and was able to get in and out without using the Valet. The plan was to go to the Celebrity club, which had a drag show on Saturday night. The club was about 10 miles away. So much for the advantages of staying downtown. The show was to start at 11:00 PM, but I didn't get there until nearly 11:30. Not to worry, as drag shows are almost always late. There were only two girls performing and the first show had only two songs. I blinked and almost missed it. However, there were two other shows later, both consisting of two songs. The girls were pretty good and I really enjoyed the show.

Pictures at the hotel.

Pictures of the two performers. The one in the middle was Maquaila Jaa. When I returned to the Hotel you needed to use your room card to get into the Lobby. But, the card reader didn't work. Fortunately there was a maid cleaning the lobby and she let me in. She never even gave me a second look...

Planning to go back to Celebrity on Sunday night Cabaret open stage show.

If you thought that the last Sunday night at the Blue Moon was dead, you aint seen nothing yet. Including the bartenders there were maybe 6 people there. Needless to say, there was no show. I don't know how the place can survive. Fortunately I met Rhonda who was playing the video game. She was great! We talked the night away.

Rhonda had no computer (I didn't know that those kind of people existed) but she had pictures of herself that she gave away. She was extremly friendly and I really enjoyed the evening.
